1. What Kagie does
Kagie helps South African learners manage tertiary application support, including account setup, application details, institution choices, document uploads, notices, support messages, and payment status where applicable.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use Kagie, we may collect the following information:
- Account details such as name, surname, email address, phone number, and role.
- Learner profile details such as school, grade or completion year, province, guardian information, and application status.
- Application information such as selected institutions, selected courses, accommodation or transport choices, and submitted form details.
- Documents that you choose to upload for application support.
- Payment records such as payment status, reference numbers, amount, and date. Kagie does not store card numbers.
- Device, usage, and technical information needed to keep the app secure and working.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide Kagie services, save application progress, support users, show relevant notices, verify payment status, manage uploaded documents, improve reliability, and protect the platform from misuse.
4. Local drafts and offline use
The Kagie Android app may save draft application progress on your device so that forms feel faster and you do not lose work when the network is weak. Drafts are synced to Kagie's backend when you submit or when connection is available.
5. Sharing of information
Kagie does not sell student information. Information may be processed by trusted service providers that help operate the platform, such as hosting, database, file storage, analytics, email, support, or payment providers. Where an application requires manual submission to an institution, Kagie administrators may use the learner's submitted details to assist with that application process.
6. Payments
If payments are used, checkout is handled through secure payment providers. Payment confirmation is verified through backend systems. Kagie does not store full bank card details in the app.
7. Security
We use access controls, secure sessions, and protected backend services to help keep information safe. Users should keep login details private and sign out on shared devices.
8. User choices and deletion requests
You may request help accessing, correcting, or deleting your Kagie account information from the Kagie account and data deletion page or by contacting support@kagie.app. Some information may need to be retained where required for security, payment records, legal compliance, or application support records.
9. Children and learners
Kagie is intended for learners, parents, teachers, and education support users. Learners should use the app with appropriate guidance from a parent, guardian, teacher, or trusted adult where required.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Kagie features change. The latest version will be available on this page.
